A man called 211 looking for food assistance for the Christmas holiday. The caller has a child with health concerns and a disability and is struggling to make ends meet. Usually he accesses food from Family Aid so the Service Navigator contacted them on his behalf to see if they would be delivering food hampers this year. Unfortunately the program has been cancelled this year due to the pandemic. The 211 Service Navigator followed up by contacting the another organization and found they were providing gift cards to people needing food this holiday season. The Service Navigator provided the caller with the information so that he could use a grocery delivery service to access food for the holidays.
