Manitoba:

A 211 Service Navigator received a call from an employee from a Manitoba mental health organization looking for emergency shelter for an individual experiencing domestic abuse. The caller was unable to get in touch with their usual contact to arrange for shelter. They did not know whom else to contact

The Service Navigator referred the caller to a nearby domestic violence shelter’s crisis line, so that the centre could arrange for emergency accommodation for the individual in question for the night. She also encouraged the caller to contact 211 again anytime if they needed more assistance. The caller said they would contact the case worker again the next day.
